New York [DOGS]

I wanted to steal them, but settled for pictures.

New York

Storefront + Street Reflection (Treatment: B&W High Contrast)

New Yorker (Treatment: Direct Positive)

Looking through Soho to the Empire State Building (Treatment: Sepia)

Jewelry Stand (Treatment: Cold Tone)

I was up in New York City this past weekend visiting with a couple of my best friends from high school. Although most of the weekend was spent shopping and watching chick flicks I also had a chance to capture some great images. In this series I'm experimenting with different Adobe Lightroom treatments.

Water Treasures

Inspired by a childhood game my mother invented called Water Treasures, these photographs capture the interaction of shells, rocks, jewelry, and other treasures with water and the magic moment of the splash.

The treasures are in a clear glass bowl and were shot on plexiglass with one gelled speed light on the ground underneath providing color and brightness. In addition the last 3 images have a speed light modified with a snoot, which narrows the beam of light, in order to illuminate the top part of the splash.
